John M. (Mac) Brown
Mac Brown is founder and president of GasSearch LLC since its inception in 1982 as GasSearch Corporation. He graduated from Sam Houston State University, Huntsville, Texas, in 1972 with a Bachelor of Science Degree. He has an extensive background working with various investment opportunities combining tax shelter with long-term investment, both for his own account and for others.

For the past several decades, these investments have been exclusively in the oil and gas business.

GasSearch was founded in 1982 in Houston, Texas. The company specialized in energy investments in South Texas and West Virginia until 1996.

Due to health related issues, the company was dormant for 10 years. The company was re-registered as GasSearch LLC in March, 2006.

GasSearch LLC has expanded its role into lease acquisition, lease development and more. GasSearch LLC has interests in a producing Wilcox gas well, shallow oil leases (Jacob Oil Field), with production, and an Escondido/Olmos lease. All of these properties are in McMullen County, Texas.

Over the years, GasSearch has served as the General Partner in numerous oil & gas Texas Limited Partnerships.
